Are You Willing to Trust? – Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there has to be something that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, what was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Consider your lifetime because it is apparently these days when it comes to the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who’s my source?” So when we talk about the last stage of the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world.It’s similar to building a big house of cards, stacking on a single card following the other. A good wind arrives and poof, it’s only blown over. It can’t even stand only a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary. It’s so transitory; It absolutely was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in everything else; dozens of things that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It really comes right down to the essence of who’s my brother? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form?  a course in miracles bookstore Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that one?So you’re asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination. This really is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn’t reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to construct his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s speaing frankly about thoughts. First He’s speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He returns with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You will see he’s attempting to melt everything together and show the last veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there’s no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That’s precisely the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What type of things would you spend money on, these days?
